Marble Moorti, Marble Handicrafts

You can find us at Narain Bhawan, which is over on the fourth cross of Khejron Ka Rasta. It is a bit tucked away in the lanes, but people who know the area find us easily enough. We work with marble, making moortis and all sorts of different handicrafts. It is a dusty job, and there is always the sound of small chisels hitting stone if you come by during the day. We are not a factory with big assembly lines or machines. It is mostly just us and a few skilled guys sitting on the floor working on individual pieces. Some of the statues take a really long time to finish because the details have to be just right. We have some finished pieces sitting around the shop for people to look at. They are not always perfectly arranged because we are always moving things to make more space for the new blocks. The address might sound a bit confusing if you are not from around here, but Khejron Ka Rasta is a well-known place for this kind of stone work. We have been here for a long time, and the building, Narain Bhawan, has its own history too. We do not spend any money on fancy ads. Word of mouth usually brings people to our door. Sometimes someone wants a custom size, so we sit down and figure out how much stone we need to order. It is slow work, but that is marble.
