Our little spot is tucked away in Gali Tabela. If you aren't looking for it, you might just walk right past, as it’s a narrow lane and things get pretty crowded with people and carts. Inside, it's mostly filled with boxes, tools, and whatever we are currently working on. We do a lot of things by hand here, so there is usually a bit of a mess on the floor—scraps of wood or fabric or whatever material we’re using that day. It's a small family-run kind of thing, and we’ve been in this same spot for a long time now. The lighting isn't the best, but we know where everything is kept. We spend hours sitting on the stools, just focusing on the small details of the items we make. It can be hard on the back, but it's what we know how to do. Sometimes neighbors drop by for a chat while we work, which slows things down, but we don't mind much. It’s a loud neighborhood with lots of voices and bells, but inside the shop, we just focus on the task at hand. We don't have a big showroom or anything like that. Most of what we make gets packed up and sent out to other places. It’s just honest work, and we try to make things that look decent and stay together for a long time. The tea kettle is almost always on the stove in the back room.
