Our place is right by the Nehru Trophy Boat Race finishing point. We are situated on Finishing Point Road in the Punnamada area of Thathampally. If you walk toward the stadium, you will find us pretty easily. It is a beautiful part of the world, especially when the water is calm. During the race season, the whole street gets incredibly crowded and loud, but most of the year it is quite peaceful. We spend our days talking to people who want to see the backwaters or travel around. The office is small and usually has a few brochures lying around on the table. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just help people figure out where they want to go and how to get there. There is always a smell of the water and sometimes the engines from the houseboats nearby. We have been in this spot for a long time, watching the tourists come and go. Sometimes we just sit outside and watch the boats go past the finishing line. It’s a simple life here in Alappuzha. We handle the bookings and talk to the drivers and boat owners. It’s mostly just us making sure things are organized for whoever shows up at our door. We like being near the stadium because it feels like the center of everything happening on the water, even when there are no races happening.
