Nice Foods & Oils

You can find us over at Nice Foods & Oils, right near Vaduthala Junction in Aroor. It’s a pretty busy spot with all the trucks and cars passing through the intersection all day long. We deal with various types of food products and oils. Our warehouse is a bit industrial, with big drums of oil stacked up and the smell of cooking ingredients in the air. It’s not a very pretty place, just a functional one where we do the work. The floor is often a bit slick, so we have to be careful when we’re moving things around. Aroor is a humid place, and being near the water means everything feels a bit sticky in the afternoons. We have a small crew of four people who handle the loading and unloading. I handle the orders and the phone calls from a small desk in the corner that’s covered in grease stains and old pens. We don't do any big promotions or have a fancy logo on the building. Most of our customers are local businesses that have been buying from us since we first opened up. We just focus on getting the orders out on time and making sure the lids are on the containers tight. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and long hours, but it’s what we do. The truck drivers usually stop by for a quick chat while they wait for their loads to be ready.
