Mahila Driving School

Mahila Driving School operates out of the Karukayil Building in Kallumala Post. This is over in Mavelikara, Alappuzha. It’s a place where women come when they want to learn how to handle a car or a scooter on these local roads. We know the roads around here can be a bit narrow and tricky, especially with the buses zooming past, so we just take it slow. The office is in a regular building, nothing too special to look at, but it’s easy enough to find if you are in the Kallumala area. People usually stop by to ask about the timing or how many classes they need to feel confident behind the wheel. We have a few cars that we use for the practice sessions. You might see us driving around the backstreets of Mavelikara during the day, with a student trying to get the hang of the clutch or the indicators. It can be a bit stressful for them at first, but that’s just how learning to drive goes. We don’t use any fancy simulators or anything like that. It is all real-world practice on the actual streets where people live and shop. Most of our students come because a friend or a neighbor told them about us. We just keep our focus on getting folks through their driving tests and making sure they know the basic rules of the road so they can get around town safely.
