Detilish Rugs

We are based out in Valavanad, near the Kalavoor post office. It is a quiet area compared to the noise of the city. Most of what we do here involves rugs. It is a lot of manual work and we spend most of our daylight hours in the workspace. The floors are usually covered in threads and bits of wool or fabric. That is just how it goes when you are working with these kinds of materials all day long. We do not have any big signs or bright lights to show where we are. People usually know our location because we have been here for a long time. The weather around here can be quite humid, which sometimes affects how we handle the materials. We just work around those things as they happen. There are a few of us here who handle the looms and the cleaning. It is not a fast process, and we do not try to make it one. We just take the time that is needed for each piece to be finished. Sometimes things get delayed because of the heavy rain or other small local issues, but we manage to get through it. We are not a big corporation or anything like that. Just a local spot where we make rugs for people. Some days it is very peaceful, and other days we are rushing to finish an order. We mostly deal with people who find us through word of mouth.
