The Padma Mourzouks Co.

We have been here at Mayithara P.O. for quite a long time now. The Padma Mourzouks Co. is not one of those big, shiny companies you see in the cities. It is just a regular place where we get our work done every day. The building is a bit old, and the walls could probably use some fresh paint, but it stays cool inside during the hot months. Most of us living nearby just walk or bike here in the morning. You can hear the sound of the machines from the road. We deal with coir and mats mostly. It’s a bit dusty, and your hands get rough after a while, but it is what we do. The postman stops by every morning around eleven, and we usually take a small break then. Sometimes the rains are so heavy we have to stop for a bit because the roof makes so much noise. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on making sure the orders are ready when they need to be. Some of the equipment has been around since my father’s time. It still works fine, so we keep using it. We aren't trying to be the biggest in the world. We just want to stay busy and keep the place running for the next few years. It's a simple life here in Mayithara, and we are okay with that.
