Charly and Roger Exports Private Limited is based out of the Binivas Building in Kanjiramattom. If you know the Thodupuzha area in Idukki, you probably know Building No 533-G where we are. It’s a quiet enough spot, though the traffic on the main road can get a bit much during the market days. We handle exports, which mostly means we are surrounded by boxes and packing tape half the time. The building itself is an older one, so it has its quirks, like the door that sticks when it’s humid out. Idukki is a beautiful place to work, even if the hills make transport a little slower than in the flat lands. Charly and Roger started this together because they had some experience with local products and thought they could sell them further away. We aren't a huge team. Usually, there's just two or three of us in the office checking the manifests and talking to the farmers or the suppliers. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. We just do the work and try to make sure everything gets where it’s supposed to go without too much trouble. Sometimes a shipment gets delayed because of the weather in the mountains, but we just call the customers and explain how things are. It’s an honest way to make a living, even if the paperwork feels like it never ends. We just keep at it every day and try to stay organized.
