Ram Coir Mills

We’ve been running Ram Coir Mills from this spot in Cherthala for a good while now. Our address is No. 271 Cmc 5 Nedumbrakkad, which isn't hard to find if you know the area. It’s a busy place most days. We deal with coir and that means there’s usually some dust around and plenty of movement. The mill is just a practical space where we get the work done. People here know us as part of the local scene. It’s not a fancy setup by any means. We have some old machines and some newer ones too, all squeezed into the space we have. Most of the guys working here have been with us for years, so we just kind of know what needs doing without much talk. We spend our mornings sorting stuff out and the afternoons getting it ready to move. Nedumbrakkad can get quite hot in the summers, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. The building itself has seen better days, but it holds up. We don't spend much time worrying about how the front looks as long as the work inside is moving along right. We just handle the coir products and try to stay on top of the orders that come in. It’s a simple life really, just making sure the mill stays running and the neighbors are okay with us. That’s pretty much the whole story of our little operation here.
