Sarvodaya Brick

Our operations at Sarvodaya Brick are based in Kurum Village, which is part of the Murtizapur Taluka. We are situated on Akoli Road, right across from the Gram Panchayat office. It’s a very rural setting, so things are pretty quiet most of the time, apart from the work we are doing in the brickyard. Being right opposite the Gram Panchayat means we are in the heart of the village activity, such as it is. We spend our days out in the dirt, managing the piles and seeing to the laborers. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit; we are usually covered in dust by the time the afternoon rolls around. The road to Akoli isn't always the best, especially after the rains, so we have to deal with a lot of mud and slow-moving vehicles. It’s a simple life out here in the Taluka, and we like it that way. We don't have a website or a marketing team, we just rely on the fact that we have been here for a while and people in the village know where to find us. We just make the bricks, stack them up, and wait for the tractors to come and haul them away. It’s honest, hard work that keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset every day. Most people just walk over to the gate when they want to talk.
