Gaurav Traders

Gaurav Traders is located right at Plot No. 24 in the Gajanan Market area. If you go past the Juna Cotton Market, you will see us there. We are very close to the Hanuman Mandir, so we hear the bells ringing every morning and evening which is quite nice during a long shift. The market is always crowded and noisy, especially when the carts are moving through the narrow lanes. Our shop is not very big, but we manage to fit everything we need inside. Sometimes the stock piles up so high we can barely see the back wall. It’s just a regular trading business, nothing too complicated. We spend most of our time talking to people who come into the market or checking the ledgers. The floor is concrete and a bit cracked in places, and we use an old desk that has been here since we first opened the doors. We don’t bother with fancy decorations because this is a place for work. When it rains, the water splashes up from the street, so we have to keep the shutters halfway down. It’s a lot of physical work, moving bags around and making sure everything is counted right. We know most of the other shop owners around here, so we often share tea in the afternoons. It’s just how things go in a place like this. We try to keep things simple and just focus on what needs doing for the day. This market is where we belong.
