Down in Ram Nagar, at 14-C in Ambala Cantt, you’ll find us working away on all kinds of electronic stuff. The shop is filled with the smell of solder and old metal. We’ve got shelves packed with components that we’ve collected over the years. Some are new, some are quite old, but they all have a place. People bring in things that stopped working, or they come looking for a specific part they can't find anywhere else. It’s a bit of a mess if you don't know where to look, but we know exactly where every little transistor is hidden. The fans are always running to keep the place cool, but it still gets quite hot in the summer months. We don't have any fancy displays or a big showroom. It’s a workshop through and through. My father started this and I just sort of took over when he got older. We spend a lot of time squinting at circuit boards and testing connections. It can be tedious work, but it’s satisfying when something finally clicks back to life. We talk to a lot of locals who drop by just to see what’s new or to ask for advice on a project they’re doing at home. It’s a basic operation and we like it that way. No corporate nonsense, just tools, parts, and a lot of patience here in Ambala.
