Shri Ram Building Materials

Shri Ram Building Materials is located right outside the Chawani Railway Phatak in Ajmer. Being on Dungri Road means we see a lot of trucks and bikes passing by every single day. The dust from the road sometimes gets into the shop, but that’s just part of being near the railway crossing. We spend a lot of our time moving heavy bags and checking on the inventory we have out back. It’s honest work, even if it leaves us pretty tired by the time the sun goes down. Most of the people who stop by are locals from around Ajmer who are fixing up their homes or starting small building projects. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just us here at the shop, sitting on plastic chairs and waiting for the next customer to walk through the gate. Sometimes the trains at the phatak make it hard to hear anything, so we have to yell a bit. It’s funny how you get used to that noise after a while. We’ve seen the road change quite a bit over the years, but we’re still here in the same spot. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just supply the stuff people need to build things. It’s a straightforward business and that’s how we like it. The days are long, but it feels good to be working for yourself in a town like this.
