Lalchand Prajapati

My name is Lalchand Prajapati and you can find me in Bajrang Garh in the Baghsuri area. I am located right near the Panchyat Bhawan which is the center of things around here. It’s a place where everyone knows everyone else. Life moves at a bit of a slower pace here than in the big cities and I like that. I spend most of my days working on things that people in the village need. Whether it’s something for a house or a bit of help with a project I am usually around to lend a hand. My shop isn't anything special to look at. It’s just a practical space where I keep my tools and materials. Often people will just stop by while they are walking to the Panchyat Bhawan to have a chat. It’s that kind of community. I don't spend money on advertising or fancy signs. People find me because they know where I live and they know the kind of work I do. I’ve lived here a long time and my family is here too. We just try to be honest and work hard every day. Some days are long especially during the harvest time when everyone is busy. But I wouldn't want to be anywhere else but right here in Baghsuri doing what I do. It is important to stay true to where you come from and I think the folks around here appreciate that.
