Labanya Agro Industries

Our little place, Labanya Agro Industries, is located in Longia Mohalla. If you know Ajmer well, you know how the galis can be. We are on Gali No-4 at Plot No.6/81/7. It’s a tight fit for the bigger vehicles, but we make it work somehow. We’ve been here for a good number of years now. We handle different kinds of agricultural products depending on what the farmers are bringing in. My hands are usually covered in dust by the end of the day. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit. We have a small shed where we keep the machinery and the bags of grain. It gets quite hot in the summer, but we have a couple of big fans that help a bit. The neighbors are used to the sound of our machines by now. We don't really do any advertising. People just know that we’re the agro place in Gali 4. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too high. There’s no big mission statement on the wall, just a calendar and some notes about deliveries. We just try to do the work right and get things where they need to go. Sometimes we sit out on the steps for a tea break and watch the world go by in the mohalla. It’s a steady life and we’re happy to be part of the local scene here in Ajmer.
