Kalyan Cement Agencies

Kalyan Cement Agencies is situated right at the Kishangarh Old Mile Chouraha in Madanganj. It’s a busy intersection, so there is always a lot of dust and noise from the passing trucks and motorcycles. We spend our days mostly moving heavy bags of cement from the back storage out to the front where people can pick them up. The air inside the shop usually has that thin layer of grey dust that comes with the territory. We don't really have a lot of fancy decorations here. It’s just walls of stacked cement bags and a small counter where we handle the paperwork. I’ve been at this spot for quite some time now. Dealing with cement is straightforward but exhausting work. You have to make sure the bags stay dry, especially when the weather turns bad, or else you lose the whole lot to the moisture. In Madanganj, there is always some sort of construction happening, so we stay pretty active throughout the week. I usually start the day checking what came in on the overnight trucks. It’s a lot of physical labor, and my boots are always covered in white powder by noon. We don't go in for big marketing or anything; we just sit here by the Chouraha and wait for the local builders to stop by. Sometimes the traffic at the intersection gets backed up, but we just keep loading the bags anyway. It’s a basic business run by regular people who aren't afraid of a little dirt and hard work.
