Compter Teacher

My house is over in Gali Number 1 in the Naya Ghar area of Ajmer, and that is where I do all my teaching. I have a few computers set up in one of the rooms at H. No. 770/45. It started out small but now I have students coming in at different times of the day. Some are kids who want to learn how to use the internet or do their school projects, and others are adults who never really got to learn how a mouse or a keyboard works. I show them how to open programs, write letters, and save their work so it doesn't get lost. Sometimes the power goes out, which is a bit of a pain, but we just wait or talk about the lessons until it comes back on. It is not like a big institute with a lot of staff. It’s just me here in Gulab Bari helping out the locals. I try to explain things in a way that isn't too complicated because technology can be scary if you're seeing it for the first time. We spend a lot of time practicing the same things until everyone feels okay with it. My neighbors know me as the computer guy. I like seeing someone finally understand how to send an email. It makes the long hours in this little room feel worth it. There is always someone wanting to learn something new about computers.
