Abacus Consultants

Ajmer is a place where you get used to the sun. We are over here at House Number 901 in Shakti Nagar. It is part of the Subhash Nagar area. Every morning I come in and unlock the front gate. It makes a bit of a screeching sound because of the rust. We have been Abacus Consultants for some time now. Inside, the walls are a plain off-white color. We have a couple of desks pushed against the wall. There is a small window that looks out onto the street. Sometimes kids are playing cricket nearby or a stray dog is just napping in the shade. It gets quite dusty here, so we have to wipe the tables down every single day before we start. We keep our files in these old metal cabinets. They don't always open smoothly. We just sit here and do our work. It is not a big fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. Just a regular house turned into a place to work. We know the neighbors pretty well. The shop down the road is where we get our tea in the afternoon. It is hot in the summer, so the fan is always clicking above us. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to keep things organized. That is basically how it goes here in Ajmer. It is a quiet routine that keeps us busy from morning until evening.
