You will find Shri Datta Marble Stone Co. right opposite the Om Weight Bridge on the Nagarpuna Highway. Having the weight bridge right there is actually pretty handy for us because of all the heavy loads we deal with. We have a lot of different stones sitting out in the open. It is a big lot and it stays quite busy with people coming in to look at marble for their new homes. We don't have a shiny showroom with lights. It’s more of a yard where you can see the material in the natural light. We spend most of our time walking around with customers or talking to the laborers who do the cutting. The highway is always humming with noise, but you get used to it after a few days. We are usually here from the morning till the evening. It isn't always easy, and sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when it rains and the yard gets muddy. We try to keep things simple and just give people a straight answer. No one here wears a suit; we are all in our work clothes. It’s a practical business for practical people. If you’re driving down the highway, just look for the big stacks of stone near the bridge. We’re usually there until the sun goes down. It’s a good spot to be and we know the area well.
