Santosh Karde

This is the place of Santosh Karde. We are located at Post Kanhegaon, right near the Central Railway Gate No. 63 in Taluka Kopargaon. Being so close to the railway gate means we hear the trains go by all day and night. You get used to the sound after a while, and now we barely notice it. It is a rural spot, mostly surrounded by fields and small houses. We don't have a big corporate office or a staff in uniforms. It’s just a local operation. Most people who come by are locals from the Kopargaon area. We keep things very informal here. There is a lot of dust from the trains and the dirt roads, so everything is always a little bit dirty. We spend our time managing the daily tasks that come up. It might be paperwork or dealing with people coming to the gate. Since we are near Gate No. 63, it’s a good landmark for people trying to find us. We don't have any fancy brochures or marketing people. If you want to know something, you just ask. The pace of life in Kanhegaon is steady but not rushed. We like it that way. It is honest work in a place we know well. We’ve been here a long time and the railway tracks have become part of our daily life. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do every day. One day is pretty much like the next, and we are fine with that.
