Our place is at 680, Bazar Peth in the Ahmadnagar district. If you’ve ever walked through Bazar Peth, you know it’s the heart of the local market. There are always people moving about, shops opening their shutters, and the smell of local food in the air. We’ve been here for a while now, offering various services to whoever walks through the door. The shop isn't very big, and we’ve had to get creative with how we use the space. We have a counter where we talk to people and a back area where most of the work happens. It’s often a bit cluttered with tools, papers, and whatever projects we’re currently handling. We don’t have a professional cleaning crew coming in every night, so there’s usually a bit of dust on the shelves. We just handle the tasks as they come in. Some days are incredibly busy with a line out the door, and other days we’re just sitting around waiting for the next person to show up. It’s a very human way to work. We know most of the other shop owners on the street and we stop to talk to them whenever we step out for tea. We don’t put on any acts here. We’re just local people providing a service to other local people. It’s simple, it’s practical, and it keeps us going in this busy market environment. The floor is made of old stone and it’s seen a lot of foot traffic. We have a ceiling fan that wobbles.
