Our place is in Ralegan Therpal, which is in Parner, Ahmednagar. We use house number 216 as our main spot. Parnerkar Agritech Producer Companylimited is run by several of us who grew up around here. We know these fields pretty well. The office is basically a room with some desks and a lot of registers. We spend a lot of time discussing what seeds are doing well and how the market looks. Being in a village like Ralegan Therpal means everyone knows what you're doing anyway. We help the local farmers get their stuff together for sale. It’s hard to do that alone when you have a small plot. So we grouped up. It’s not always smooth. We have arguments about things, but we always figure it out. The weather is our biggest boss. If it doesn't rain, we don't have much to do. When it does, it's a mad rush. We aren't a corporate office with suits and ties. Most of us are in work clothes because we've just come from the fields or are headed there. It’s honest work. We try to keep things moving. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in or call us. We’ve been here for a while and we plan to stay. It’s a quiet life but it keeps us busy enough throughout the year.
