Northstar Global School

Samata Nagar is a nice part of Ahmednagar, and our school fits right into the neighborhood at Plot No. 23. It’s a residential area, so we try not to be too loud, though that’s impossible once the kids get out for their break. The school is over in the Savedi part of town, which has grown a lot lately. We’ve got a decent-sized building with enough rooms for everyone, but it always feels a bit cramped when the parents come for meetings. The morning sun hits the front courtyard, and that’s where we all stand for the anthem. Our teachers are a mix of older folks who’ve seen everything and younger ones who are still getting used to the noise. We don’t go in for anything too fancy. We’ve got the usual boards, some posters on the walls, and a library that is mostly full of old textbooks and some stories the kids actually like. There’s always someone losing a pencil or a notebook, and we spend a fair bit of time looking through the lost and found box. The traffic on the road outside can get a bit thick in the afternoons, so we have to watch the kids as they leave. It’s just a regular school day, five days a week, with all the usual small problems and small wins that come with it.
