Ahmednagar College

You can find the college right on Station Road here in Ahmednagar. It’s a pretty old place with a lot of history behind it. The buildings have that look of something that has been around for decades. There are trees scattered around the campus which give some shade when the sun is out. Students are always coming and going from the main gate. We have various departments spread out across the grounds. It’s not a shiny new campus like you see in the big cities, but it does the job. The offices have old wooden desks and lots of paper files. People mostly walk or ride their bikes to get here. In the afternoons, you’ll see groups of students sitting on the steps or near the canteen area. The classrooms have high ceilings and those big windows that let in a lot of dust sometimes. It’s a busy spot in Maharashtra. We don't do anything too fancy with the decor. It’s a place for study and for people to get their degrees. Sometimes the bells for class are a bit loud and the hallways get crowded between sessions. The staff here mostly know the regulars. We’ve had generations of families come through these doors. It is a solid part of the local community. We just keep the gates open and the lights on for the students. It is a bit loud near the road but we are used to it.
