Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd Valve Plant Ahmednagar

We work at the Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd Valve Plant here in Ahmednagar. Our location is right in the Railway Colony, near the station, specifically at R.B.I. 53 B. Being so close to the tracks means we hear the trains coming and going all day long. It’s a familiar sound that we don't even notice much anymore. This plant is focused on valves, which is a specific but important part of what the company does. The building itself has been around for a while and shows its age, but it’s sturdy. We have a lot of people coming through since we are near the railway station. It is a practical workplace where we wear our regular clothes and get our hands a bit dirty sometimes. There is no corporate polish here. We talk about manufacturing and shipping schedules while having tea near the gate. Ahmednagar is a place where people work hard, and we are no different. We spend our shifts making sure the valve production is moving along as it should. The air smells a bit like metal and oil, which is just part of the job. Most of the staff have been here for years and know every corner of the colony. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls. We just come in, do the work for the day, and go home to our families. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the day, making sure the valves are made right.
