Jaihind Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our small group is based out of Indira Nagar in Sangamner. We set up Jaihind because we saw how hard it was for individual farmers in Ahmednagar to deal with big markets. We are located near Survey Number 87, and it’s a pretty busy area for the local trade. It started out with a few neighbors talking over tea and then we decided to make it official with this company. We focus on the produce coming out of the local fields here. Things can get a bit disorganized sometimes, especially when the trucks arrive, but we do our part to keep things moving. We aren't business experts from some big city, just people who know the land around 422605. The office is simple, just a place to keep the records and meet up. We spend most of our time out checking on what’s growing or talking to the guys about their yields. It helps having a common name to work under so we can buy supplies together or get a better deal on transport. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the roads get muddy, but that’s just life in this part of Ahmednagar. We try to be useful to the people who live and work here. It’s a lot of work but it feels right to be doing something for our own community instead of just waiting for things to change.
