Xplora Design School.

We are located right in the middle of Shahibaug at Chandan Appt. It is a busy area, especially being so close to the Shahibaug Police Chowkey. Most days, you can hear the sirens or just the general buzz of the traffic outside our windows. The school isn't some massive campus; it’s a practical space inside an apartment building where we teach design to whoever is interested. We have been here for a good while now, and the locals know the building well. Inside, it's mostly rows of computers and students trying to figure out their latest projects. The hallways are a bit narrow and we have posters everywhere to show what's being worked on. It’s a very casual atmosphere. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit around and talk until it comes back on. We don't have any corporate protocols or fancy uniforms. We just show up, open the doors, and get to work. Most of us take the stairs because the lift is slow. It’s just a normal day-to-day life here. We see the same tea seller every morning. The rooms can get a bit stuffy in the Ahmedabad summer, but we make do with the fans and the AC when it's working. It’s just a place for people to learn some skills and maybe find a job. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It's just a design school in a regular neighborhood where we spend our time working.
