Vidhi Handloom Handicraft

If you are looking for us, we are at 2/C Nilesh Park, right near the Gor No Kuvo in Maninagar East. Everyone around here knows the old well, so it makes finding the shop a bit easier. Vidhi Handloom Handicraft is a small operation, mostly just stacks of hand-woven fabrics and local crafts piled up on the counters. The smell of the handlooms is something you get used to after a while; it’s a very specific earthy scent. We have a few old wooden cupboards where we keep the more delicate items. The floor is made of that old-style tile that stays cool even when it's roasting outside in Ahmedabad. We don't have air conditioning, so we just keep the fans going and the door open. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood—people talking at the park, the birds, and the occasional scooter zooming by. It’s a very local feel here. We spend a lot of time talking to the weavers and making sure the stock is coming in on time. Sometimes we sit on the steps out front when things are quiet. It is not a high-pressure environment, just a place where we handle traditional goods. The shop has been in this part of Maninagar for years, and we know most of the regulars who pass by every morning. It's just a simple, honest way to make a living.
