Yamuna Estate is tucked away near the Vatva railway bridge, and that’s where you’ll find us at unit 11. GIDC Vatva Phase-1 is a loud, industrial place. There is always a truck idling nearby or the sound of metal hitting metal. Our workshop reflects that. It’s got concrete floors that have seen better days and a lot of heavy machinery. We do electrical and mechanical work, so there are wires and motor parts all over the benches. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice suit. We usually have grease on our clothes by ten in the morning. Being near the railway bridge means we hear the trains go by all day long. It’s a rhythm we’ve gotten used to. We have a small crew, mostly guys from the local area who know their way around a circuit board or a lathe. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. Most of our work comes from the other units in the GIDC. They know where we are if something breaks down. We spend a lot of time troubleshooting and just trying to get things to run right. It’s hot in the shed during the summer months, but we keep the fans going. It’s just straightforward work. We fix things, we build things, and we keep the lights on. It is a noisy place but it is where we belong every day.
