Rakesh Moulding Work

Rakesh Moulding Work is tucked away at No 2, Santram Estate on Dudheshwar Road. We are quite close to the Tavdipura Post Office in the Shahibaug area. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of small businesses packed together. We do moulding work, which involves a lot of heat and precision with the casts. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, but we have everything we need inside. It’s often quite hot because of the processes we use, so we drink a lot of tea and keep the fans going. We've been in Santram Estate for a while now. Most of our customers are local manufacturers who need specific parts made for their products. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures. We just show people the work we’ve done before and let that speak for itself. Sometimes the floor gets a bit messy with scrap, but we clean it up at the end of the week. It’s a small operation, and we like it that way. You can talk directly to the person doing the work. We don't have layers of management to get through. If there’s a problem with a mould, we just fix it right there on the spot. It’s a basic, honest way to make a living, and we’ve been doing it this way for years without much change or fuss. We just keep the furnace running and stay busy.
