Vasudha Eye Hospital

Our place, Vasudha Eye Hospital, is tucked away in Sabarmati. We are very close to the Ramji Mandir, which is how most people find their way to us. You can usually hear the temple bells if the wind is blowing the right way. Sabarmati is a nice part of town, though it has its busy moments like anywhere else. We have been here for a while now, right near the mandir. The street isn't too wide, so sometimes parking is a bit of a headache for the folks coming in. We just tell them to find a spot wherever they can on the side roads. Inside the hospital, we keep things pretty simple. There is a lot of waiting around sometimes, but that is just the nature of the work. The light in the morning is quite bright coming through the front windows. We keep the floors swept and the chairs lined up. Most of the people who work here have been with us for years. We know the local shopkeepers and the people who live in the houses nearby. It feels more like a neighborhood than a big medical zone. Sabarmati has a specific feel to it, and we are just a small part of that. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people just walk in because they saw the sign or heard about us from a neighbor. It’s just how we have always done things here in Sabarmati, and it works well for us without needing to be anything more than what we are.
