Our spot is G 6 in Santam Avenue, which is right near the Vishram Ngr Road intersection. If you know the Gurukul area, you know how busy Gurukul Road gets, especially on the weekends. Being on the ground floor is pretty convenient because we don’t have to deal with stairs when we’re carrying things in or out. The building isn't the newest on the block, but it has its own character. We spend most of our daylight hours inside these walls. There’s a specific way the sun hits the entrance of Santam Avenue in the morning that tells us we’re running late if we haven't opened up yet. We usually keep a kettle going for coffee because the shop down the road is always too crowded. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when everyone is in the office at once, but we make it work with the desks we have. You can hear the bikes zooming past on Gurukul Road all day long. It becomes like background noise after a week of working here. We’ve stayed in this Gurukul spot because it’s easy for everyone to find. No one needs a map once you mention the avenue name. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but honestly, we’re more focused on the work sitting on our desks. It’s just a regular office where we show up and do what needs doing.
