Udipi Jaya Restaurant

We’ve been running Udipi Jaya Restaurant for a while now. You can find us at Prabha Palace. It is a busy spot and we spend most of our mornings getting the kitchen ready before the first people start walking through the door. Being at Prabha Palace means we see a lot of the same faces every day. It's just us here working to keep things moving. Some days it gets loud when the lunch crowd hits all at once. We handle it as best we can. The building itself is easy to find. We try to keep things simple and honest. There isn't much to say about us other than we are here every day. We focus on the food and the tables. Sometimes the floors need a quick sweep during a rush, but we get to it. Working in a place like Prabha Palace has its own rhythm. We’ve grown used to the way the light hits the front windows in the afternoon. It's a job we know well. We don't go for anything fancy or complicated. Just a regular restaurant doing what restaurants do. If you happen to be passing by Prabha Palace, you'll see our sign. We are usually busy in the back or out front wiping down a counter. It's not a big corporate operation, just a local spot where we put in the hours. We like it that way. Most days we are just thinking about the next order and making sure the coffee is hot. It’s just work.
