Time Tech

Our place, Time Tech, is tucked away near the Chandravillas Hotel on Gandhi Road. If you know the area, you know it gets pretty loud with all the traffic and people moving about. We’re at 3111/6, which is easy to miss if you aren't looking for the number on the door. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time now. The workbench is in the back where the light is better for seeing the small parts inside the watches. We handle a lot of repairs every day. People bring in things their grandfathers owned, and sometimes they just bring in cheap plastic ones that need a new band after it snapped. We treat them all about the same because a watch is a watch. The floor is old tile and it’s seen a lot of feet over the years. We keep a kettle in the corner for tea when things get quiet in the afternoon. Gandhi Road is always moving, but inside here it feels a bit slower and calmer. We have a few cabinets with different models, mostly stuff that people actually use for work or school. Nothing too sparkly or over the top. Sometimes the delivery guys get confused because Gandhi Road is listed twice in our address, but they eventually find us. We don't bother with much decoration on the walls. The watches are the main thing anyway. It’s a job we enjoy, even when the tiny springs fly off and we have to search the floor for twenty minutes. It happens more often than I’d like to admit.
