The Gift Guru

Paldi is a busy part of the city, and we are right in the middle of it. Our place isn't big, but it’s where we spend all our hours. It’s just a regular shop floor. We keep things arranged as best as we can, but with all the different items, it gets a bit tight. You walk in and there’s stuff on almost every shelf. We don't have a fancy layout or a designer look. It’s just how a local shop in Paldi looks. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to close up and do it. We get the morning sun, which is nice until it gets too hot. Then we just turn on the fans and keep going. Most of the people who come in are from the neighborhood. They’ve seen us here for a long time. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes, checking what’s left, and writing things down in a ledger. We still use a physical book for some things because it’s easier than typing it all out every time. The noise from the street is constant. You get used to it after a while. Sometimes we stand at the entrance just to get some air. It’s a simple life, really. Just keeping the shop running and making sure things are where they need to be. No big corporate stuff here, just us in Paldi.
