Sterling Abrasives Limited

Sterling Abrasives Limited is out at Plot No. 45 and 46 in the G.I.D.C. Estate on Odhav Road. This is a very large industrial area in Ahmedabad, and it’s always buzzing with activity. We make abrasive wheels and stones here. The process creates a lot of grit and noise, so it is definitely not a place for someone who likes it quiet. The warehouse is filled with stacks of grinding wheels of all different sizes. We have several big machines that run almost all day long. The heat in Ahmedabad can be brutal, especially inside a factory building like ours. We have some large exhaust fans but they only do so much. The office is a separate little block at the front of the plot where it’s a bit cooler. We have a lot of workers who come in on bicycles or buses from the city. We have a small yard where the trucks back in to load up the crates. It’s a very functional place. We don't have any decorations or a lobby for visitors. If someone comes to see us, they usually just find us on the floor or in the small office. We have been part of the Odhav industrial community for a long time and we just focus on making our products every day without much drama. It’s just a regular factory job for all of us here.
