Sony Arts

Our spot is right near Himalaya Mall on Drive-In Road, inside Indraprasth Tower. It’s a busy part of town, so there’s always cars honking outside. Sony Arts isn't a gallery; it’s more of a workshop where things actually get made. We have frames leaning against the walls and the smell of ink is pretty much everywhere. It’s a bit cramped because we keep every scrap of material just in case. My hands usually have some kind of smudge on them by noon. People stop by after shopping at the mall or when they're stuck in traffic. We don't have a receptionist sitting at a front desk. You just walk in and one of us will look up from whatever we are cutting or gluing. It’s been this way for a long time. We know the regulars by name and what they usually like. The lighting isn't the best, but we know where everything is. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit by the window until it comes back. It’s just how things go here. We don't do fancy presentations. We just show you what we’ve got on the table. It’s a practical place for people who need things done without a lot of fuss. Drive-In Road can be a headache with the construction, but we like being in the middle of it all. We just keep working on our projects and watching the city go by outside our door.
