Sneha Handicraft

Our workshop is at number 41-42 in the Nilkanth Industrial Estate. It is situated in Odhav G.I.D.C., not too far from the Odhav Police Station. Since we are in an industrial area, the surroundings are quite rugged. There are trucks moving in and out of the estate all day, and the sound of machinery is pretty constant. Our space is more of a factory unit than a store. We have large tables where we spread out our materials. It’s often noisy and a bit hot, but that is the nature of working in Odhav. We have a small corner where we keep our finished pieces, away from the dust of the main work area. The walls are painted a plain white, though they’ve gathered some grime over the years from all the activity. We don’t have a receptionist or a fancy waiting area. If you come by, you’ll likely find us with our sleeves rolled up, busy with some task or another. We drink a lot of water and keep the big shutters open to let the air circulate as much as possible. It is a hard-working environment, and we don't try to hide that. We aren't trying to impress anyone with how the place looks. We just focus on getting the orders ready and making sure everything is counted correctly before it goes out from the Odhav Industrial Estate.
