Shreenath Restaurant

We have been here at Vision Complex for a while now. Most people know the Panjarapole Cross Road area gets really busy, so we see a lot of different faces every day. My brother and I started this place because we just wanted to cook the food we grew up with. It is not a fancy place with velvet chairs or anything. We have simple tables and the fans might creak a little when it gets hot in Ambavadi. In the mornings, I usually get here early to check the vegetables. If the tomatoes aren't good, I tell the guy to take them back. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen just making sure the dal tastes right. Sometimes we run out of things by late evening and we just have to tell people we're done for the day. It’s a small team, just a few of us doing the cooking and cleaning. We don't have a big social media page or a PR person. People usually just find us by walking past or hearing from a neighbor. Sometimes the orders take a bit longer when we're crowded, but we try to keep things moving. It’s just a normal restaurant where you can sit down and have a meal without too much fuss. We’ve seen kids grow up coming here with their parents, and now they bring their own friends. That’s just how it goes in this part of town.
