Shreeji Decorators

We are based at Shree Farm in Bopal, which is tucked away behind Tulip School and not too far from Sterling City. Being decorators means our life is basically lived out of the back of trucks and in storage sheds. We have heaps of cloth, wooden frames, and fairy lights stacked up everywhere. It’s never really as organized as I’d like it to be, but we manage to find what we need when a job comes up. Bopal is a busy place these days, but our farm spot stays relatively quiet until we start loading the vans. We do a lot of the heavy lifting ourselves. My back usually aches by the end of the wedding season, but that’s just part of the trade. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. Usually, we just meet people right here at the farm or at the venue where they want the work done. It’s a lot of manual labor, tying up curtains and making sure the stage is sturdy enough for the guests. Sometimes the wind blows things over and we have to start all over again. We’ve been doing this for years, so we’ve seen all sorts of requests. We just try to be practical and get the job finished on time. It’s an honest living and we like being out in the fresh air instead of being stuck behind a desk all day long.
