Shree Pet

Our place is B-12 in Phase III of Naroda GIDC. It’s right opposite the Ganesh Hanuman Mandir, which is a good landmark because people always get turned around near the railway crossing. Shree Pet is in an industrial patch, so there’s always a bit of grit and noise in the air. Being so close to the tracks means the whole building shakes a little bit whenever a train goes past. We’ve gotten used to it over the years. We handle a lot of pet-related plastic materials here. The warehouse is filled with big bags of granules and the sound of the machines. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but it’s an industrial unit, so that’s expected. We start our shift before the sun gets too hot. The temple across the way is nice to have nearby; you can hear the bells sometimes during the morning prayers. We don't have a fancy office, just a small cabin with a desk where we handle the invoices. Most of our time is spent out on the floor making sure the production is running right. It’s a lot of hard work and the days can be long, especially when we have a big order to finish. We just keep our heads down and do the job at Naroda. We’ve been at B-12 for a long time and we like the community around the temple.
