Shree Devnarayan Stores

If you know where Piplod Jakat Naka is, then you have probably seen our store. We are right there by the 9th mile in Vajrahalli Village. It's a dusty spot sometimes because of the traffic moving through Piplod, but it stays busy. I’ve been running this place for a long time now. We sell basic things like grains, soaps, some snacks, and cold drinks. The fridge hums quite loud in the back corner. Every morning I sweep the front because the road dust just settles everywhere. We get the milk delivery very early, so the shutters go up before the sun is even fully out. Most of our customers are from the village or people stopping their bikes on the way to work. We have big bags of rice sitting on the floor. It's not a supermarket, just a local store where you can grab what you need for dinner. I keep a small radio on the shelf to listen to the news. The ceiling is high, which is nice in the summer so it doesn't get too hot inside. Sometimes the neighborhood dogs sit outside the door for shade. We don't mind. It's just how things go here. Life in Vajrahalli is steady, and the store is a big part of that. People come in, chat for a bit about the weather or the crop prices, and move on. The front step is chipped on the left side.
