Sheeba Delicious

You can find us at Om Towers, right at the Jodhpur Cross Road near Star Bazaar on Satellite Road. It’s a very busy corner of the city. We spend most of our time in the kitchen area, where there’s always something being prepped or cooked. The name says delicious, and we try to live up to that by just focusing on the recipes. The building is usually full of people going to the different shops, but our spot has its own little rhythm. We have big ovens and refrigerators that hum all day long. Sometimes the delivery guys are waiting in a line, and the space feels a bit cramped. We go through a lot of ingredients every week, so there are always boxes of supplies arriving at the back door. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and making sure the timers don't go off without someone noticing. We don’t have much time for sitting around. The window gets a bit foggy from the steam in the afternoons. It is a local operation, and we know many of the regular faces who come by Star Bazaar. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do; we just make the food and hope people enjoy their meal. It’s a tiring job but seeing the empty plates at the end of the day makes it feel alright. There is always a lot of washing up to do before we can finally head home.
