Savan Dj Light

Our workshop is in Khanpur, specifically in the Bhaikhalla area of Ahmedabad. It’s an old part of the city with narrow streets and lots of character. We deal with DJ setups and lighting, which means our place is always glowing with some neon bulb or another being tested. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze getting the trucks in and out of Khanpur, but we make it work every time. We aren't a big, polished firm with a marketing team. We’re just a few people who know how to wire a sound system so it doesn't hum. Most of our work happens at night when the lights look best. We spend our afternoons cleaning lenses and checking that the smoke machine isn't clogged again. It’s physical work, and our hands are usually a bit greasy from the generator or the gear. We don't have anything like a formal goal or a big speech written down. We just want the party to sound good and the lights to hit the right spots. Ahmedabad summers are brutal when you’re hauling speakers, but we just drink a lot of tea and keep going. We’ve been around Bhaikhalla for years, and the neighbors are used to us testing the bass once in a while. It’s a simple setup, and we like it that way. Savan Dj Light is the name on the truck, and we’re the ones driving it to every corner of the city.
