Sadvichar Eye Hospital

We are located on the third floor of Avani Square, right above the Vijaya Bank at the Manoharvila cross road in Nava Naroda. It’s a bit of a climb if the elevator is being slow, which happens more often than I’d like to admit. Once you get up here, it’s actually a bit quieter than the street below. Most people come in because they’ve been having headaches or they can’t read the newspaper like they used to. We have our equipment set up in the back rooms and the waiting area is usually full of people looking at their phones or chatting. It’s a standard setup for an eye hospital. We spend a lot of time cleaning lenses and explaining how to put in drops. It’s funny how many people are nervous about things touching their eyes. I’ve worked here long enough that it all feels like a routine now. The afternoon sun hits the windows pretty hard, so we have to keep the blinds pulled down most of the time. My desk is covered in files and little notes about who needs to come back for a follow-up. It isn’t anything like those big corporate hospitals you see on TV. It’s just us and the local folks from around Naroda coming in for their checkups. We make sure the lights work and the doctors have what they need to see everyone on the list for that day.
