S L Logistics is located at Rana Estate. We are right off the Aslali Sarkhej Ring Road, which is a good spot for us because of all the trucks moving through. It’s near the Sarkhej Bus Stop, so it’s easy enough for the staff to get here. Amaraivadi is a busy area for logistics. Our office isn't anything special to look at. It’s mostly just desks, phones, and a lot of logbooks. There is always a lot of noise from the ring road, but you get used to it after a week or two. We spend a lot of time on the phone tracking where things are. It’s a lot of coordinating and sometimes things don't go as planned, like a truck getting a flat or a delay at a checkpoint. We just deal with it as it comes. It’s not a glamorous job. The floor is usually a bit dusty from the constant traffic outside. We don't have a big corporate HR department or anything like that. It’s just a small group of us making sure things get from one point to another. We’ve been at the Rana Estate for a while now and we know the rhythms of the road. It’s a practical business and we keep things pretty simple. If you need us, we’re usually here until late making sure the last loads are sorted. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know how to do. The tea guy comes by at four.
