Gayatri Plastic Works

Gayatri Plastic Works is located in the Kathawada Gidc industrial area, right near the Ring Road in Odhav. It’s a place where the machines are always humming in the background. We have been operating from this unit for a long time now. The air smells a bit like warm plastic most of the day because that is what we do here. We make various plastic items and the floors are often covered with small colorful scraps that we sweep up at the end of the shift. It’s a very industrial part of town, so there are always big lorries and workers moving about on the Ring Road. Our office is just a small corner partitioned off with some plywood. It’s not very fancy, just a couple of chairs and a desk where we handle the paperwork. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. People who need plastic work done just find us through word of mouth or by seeing our sign in the Gidc. The heat from the machines makes the summers quite tough, but we have big exhaust fans to help. We usually have lunch together in the small shade outside the main door. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but we have a good group of people here. We just try to finish the orders on time and keep the machines running without any breakdowns.
