Roopa Trading Company

Roopa Trading Company is over at 5, Vishal Appartment, right near the railway station in Maninagar (East). Being so close to the station means we hear the trains all day, which actually helps us keep track of time without looking at a clock. Our office is basically a residential flat that we’ve converted into a workspace. It’s cozy, but sometimes it feels a bit small when we have a lot of stock coming in and out. We do a lot of trading work, which involves a ton of phone calls and paperwork. The living room area is where the main desks are set up, and the kitchen is mostly for making tea or storing old files we don't need often. It’s a very local way of running a business, and our neighbors are all used to us being here by now. We like being in Maninagar because almost everything we need is within walking distance. Most days are spent chasing up orders and making sure the deliveries are on track. We don't have a corporate lobby or a fancy sign; most people just know us by word of mouth or long-standing relationships. Sometimes the lift in the building breaks down, and we have to carry boxes up the stairs, which isn't much fun, but it keeps us moving. We’ve been here for years, and the place feels like home. It’s just us doing our daily trading business in a regular apartment building, and that suits our style just fine.
