Ricoh Sound

Ricoh Sound is a small shop, just number 8 in the Municiple Mini Stalls. We are right near Saiyad Corner in Jamalpur, Ahmedabad. It is a tight space, but we have everything squeezed in there. Being opposite the Kanch Ki Masjid makes it very easy for people to find us. It is a very old part of the city, so the streets are narrow and there is always a lot of noise from the market and the traffic. We deal with sound equipment, mostly speakers and mixers and cables. It is a lot of lifting heavy boxes in and out of the stall. On Friday, it is especially crowded because of the masjid across the road. We have been in this mini stall for years. It is not a big showroom, just a practical place to keep the gear. Sometimes people stop by just to ask about a certain wire or a speaker repair. We talk to anyone who walks in. It is a dusty job, keeping all the electronics clean in the middle of Jamalpur, but we do what we can. The fans in the shop are always running to keep things cool. We are not trying to be the biggest shop in Ahmedabad, just a place for the local folks who need sound for their events. If you are walking past Saiyad Corner, you will see us there among the other stalls. It is a simple life, just fixing things and renting out gear to people who need it.
