Ravi A Shah & Co is located in a very traditional part of Ahmedabad. Our address is 1938, Zupdini Khadki, right inside Mandvini Pole in the Manek Chowk area. This is the heart of the old city, and the streets are so narrow that you can barely fit a car through them. We are situated above Monika Metals, and the Bahucharmata Temple is very close by, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us for the first time. The building is quite old, with those steep stairs and thick walls that keep it a bit cooler in the summer. Working in Manek Chowk means you are surrounded by the smell of street food and the sound of people bargaining in the markets. It’s a very lively atmosphere, even if it gets a bit overwhelming sometimes. Our office is small and filled with the tools of our trade—mostly pens, calculators, and stacks of files. We have been in this spot for quite a while now. The neighborhood feels like a big family, with everyone knowing everyone else’s business. Sometimes we sit out on the little balcony for a few minutes just to watch the chaos below. It’s not a fancy office with air conditioning in every corner, but it’s where we do our work. Life moves at its own pace here in the pole, and we have just become a part of the daily routine of this historic area.
